On December 5 2014, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) was forced to drop charges against Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta. This decision followed several actions by the Kenyan government to undermine efforts, including those by the ICC, to ensure accountability for victims of murder, rape, displacement and police brutality committed during the Post-Elections Violence that followed the country’s 2007 elections.
